Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and performer who resided in Sweden during in the 1950s and 1970s. played in numerous European films as well as American ones. Most famously, she is known for her role in "La Dolce Via," an action-comedy film. It won an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, and also was a commercial and critical success. Born in Skane and worked as an actress before beginning an acting career. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden contest. After that, she was transferred to the US in the year 2000, where she began to appear in films playing small role. Her first credit role was in the film "Abbott & Costello Go to Mars", in which she played a Venusian guard. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the 'Most Promising Newcomer', category after appearing in the movie 'Blood Alley'. The actress was also featured in numerous other films during her entire career. These include the war drama 'War and Peace' as well as the Western Film "Valerie", the British Adventure Crime Film "The Man Inside and The French and Italian thriller The Dam on the Yellow River. She died in 2015 at the age of 83.
